I bought the Avent natural box set with bottles, steriliser, breast pump etc from mothercare to get me started with my newborn. Fast forward 8-9 weeks and I'm having to look online to replace almost every teat as they have all split at the top. I have 7 bottles to replace the teats on. My baby also has really bad colic I don't think the splits have helped with keeping the air in the bottle as it suggests. I'm thinking of trying a different range of bottles. Also the avent dummy's collect water in the teats when you wash them.

I bought this type of teats to use when I mix the milk with baby rice but they didn't last long, the hole split. Currently I am trying to find a new ones but there is no stock.

We have been so dissappointed with these teats, they worked great for a month but then started to split. We have had two sets of these teats now, as they have a slit in the top rather than a round hole for the milk to come through we have found the slit splits over time. Even being really gentle with washing them after the first set split, the second set have split aswell. I think they tear with the force of baby sucking them! When they worked (in the first month) they are great for baby as she is a piggy and gets frustrated with the slow flow teats. The marks for the flow around the teat are very difficult to see especially on night feeds, u need really good light or you have to feel for the marks. Everything else we have had from the philips avent natural range, including an electric breast pump, we could not fault.
